MISSION

To forget well-being of populace; to promote progress thru encouragement of their participation in a realistic and sustainable socio-cultural, ecological and human development endeavors, and thru the collaboration of different NGO’s and civic organizations towards economical and technological advancement program with other neighboring barangay.

Barangay Acacia is one of the busiest barangay in Catarman, Northern Samar, since most of the government offices are based on this place, such as the Catarman Central School, the LGU of Catarman, Samar Provincial Hospital and other government as well as private agencies.

Good governance reflects on the barangay management’s respect of transparency, accountability, honesty and establishment of responsive and effective system. Its objective is to strengthen the people’s participation charting and planning their concerns and social opinions, comments and suggestion, regarding issues and demand.

However, The Punong Barangay, Hon. Edna G. Alegrra with her equally active and ever supportive Barangay Kagawad members spearheaded to lead each purok as small community in sustaining the development in their respective areas on a more comprehensive, responsive and effective Barangay Development Plan for Annual Investment and the Good Governance.
